Application Process

Any person who requires access to aircraft or restricted areas at the Edmonton International Airport must complete this application process to obtain a valid Transportation Security Clearance (TSC). Application processing is facilitated by the Pass Control Office and all required forms must be filled out electronically and completed prior to arrival.

ALL APPLICANTS MUST COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING FORMS :

 

ALL APPLICANTS MUST BRING ORIGINAL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS BASED ON THEIR STATUS :

CANADIAN CITIZENS BORN IN CANADA

• Original Birth Certificate
• Passport if applicant holds one
 

CHILDREN BORN OUTSIDE CANADA TO A CANADIAN PARENT

• Certificate of registration of birth abroad
• Passport if applicant holds one
 

NATURALIZED CANADIANS AND LANDED IMMIGRANTS

• A Canadian Citizenship Card, a valid Permanent Resident Card or applicable IMM document
• Passport if applicant holds one
 

OTHER APPLICANTS BORN OUTSIDE CANADA

• A document that indicates his/her legal entitlement to work in Canada (e.g. valid work/study permit)
• Passport if applicant holds one
 

REFUGEES

• Documentation from Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)
• Letter confirming the applicant's claim has been accepted by the Refugee Protection Division AND a valid work permit (IMM 1442)
• Passport if applicant holds one
 

CHANGE OF NAME

• Legal change of name certificate
 

MINORS

Applicants under the age of 18 must have their parent or legal guardian present at the time of processing of the application. The applicant's parent or legal guardian is required to bring a valid, Canadian government photo ID.
