Response Services
Edmonton International
Airport provides Emergency Response Services (ERS) as part of its
safety managed systems. ERS is a fully integrated fire service
that provides emergency services to both the airport and, through
contract, to the surrounding region.
Standards of care established
include:

CAR's 323; NFPA 1003 -
Professional Airport Firefighting;

NFPA 1001 lvl 2 -
Professional Firefighter;

NFPA 472 - Dangerous Goods,
Operations;

Emergency Medical
Responders, registered with the Alberta College of
Paramedics.
In maintaining certification
in all fields, EIA started its fire training centre to provide the
required certification programs, maintain competencies within the
department, and offer additional training opportunites both inhouse
and regionally.
