Gordon J. Clanachan, FCA, ICD.D, Chair

Mr. Clanachan is the owner of Clanachan Enterprises, a consultant firm established in 1999 that provides business advisory services.  He is a Chartered Accountant and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.  From 1994 to 1999, he served as President & CEO of RaiLink Ltd., a TSE listed public company and Canada’s largest regional railway.  Prior to his career with RaiLink, Mr. Clanachan spent 15 years with Price Waterhouse, specializing in the areas of management consulting and financial audit. 

Mr. Clanachan serves on a number of other boards, including Melcor Developments Ltd., Alberta Blue Cross and Bridgewater Bank, and is a Trustee of the Edmonton Pipe Industries Pension and Health and Welfare Funds.  He is also Vice-Chair of the Board of Governors of the University of Alberta and is Chair of its Finance and Property Committee.  He is actively involved in the community as a member of the Rotary Club of Edmonton and has served on a number of community boards.  Mr. Clanachan is a resident of the City of Edmonton.
