Anne McLellan

Ms. McLellan is a member of the firm of Bennett Jones LLP, providing strategic advice to the firm and its clients. In addition, she is Distinguished Scholar in Residence at the Alberta Institute for American Studies. Prior to joining Bennett Jones LLP in July 2006, Ms. McLellan served four terms (1993 - 2006) as the Liberal Member of Parliament for Edmonton Centre. During this time, she served in a number of capacities, including Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, Minister of Health, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, and Minister of Natural Resources and Federal Interlocutor for Métis and Non-Status Indians. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Law degree from Dalhousie University and a Master of Laws degree from King's College, University of London.

Ms. McLellan currently serves on the boards of Nexen, Agrium and Cameco.  She also participates in a number of community boards and organizations, including the Royal Alexandra Hospital Charitable Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and the Edmonton Community Foundation.  Ms. McLellan is a resident of the City of Edmonton.
