EIA's sustainability core value rests on three pillars:
We strive to ensure that all of our activities and initiatives contribute to any one or all of these pillars of sustainability.
What is LEED? The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is a third-party certification program for the design, construction and operation of buildings that conserve energy, have a low impact on the natural environment, and provide a healthy work environment.
EIA was awarded LEED® Gold certification for both Expansion 2012 and the Combined Office Tower (Central Tower), making us the first Canadian airport to receive this recognition.
Visit our Facebook page Sunday, January 8, 2017, for a chance to win a behind-the-scenes tour of the airport, specifically our sustainable initiatives. View the airfield from Central Tower and explore where very few passengers have gone before!
